Mothers Day Recap....

Mothers Day 2007 was awesome! we started the morning with church and then Elliott gave his card and flowers that he picked to Corynne, then we went off to the city... It was pretty warm in Santa Rosa, but it is always a good 20-30 degrees cooler in the city since there is a big breeze that comes off of San Francisco Bay...

It costs a ton of money to park in the city (a quarter gets you 6 minutes)... so we threw 74 dollars in quarters into the meter and went off to Fisherman's Wharf to look at the seals....

It's been 20 days...

A friend of mine who has a really popular blog resolved on the new year to post once a day... that lasted about a week... he has not posted in over 2 months... admittingly, I am not as popular as he... so I resolve to post more often since my readers are few and far between... don't lose heart... three rapid posts coming your way.

Robert and Rachel came to visit a week ago... it was good to see them... a couple days before their flight came in to Oakland International Airport, a tanker truck crashed into the main support beam for a freeway overpass that connects the freeways to the airport... it was full of gas and exploded and burned for hours causing the steel supporting the overhead freeway to give way... letting it crash down onto the road below. In order to pick them up on time I ended up leaving 30 minutes before they got on their plane... and got to the airport just as they landed... we had a really good time hanging out with them... They brought Elliott presents which he was really really excited about... Robert has some photos posted on his flickr account... go check them out when you get a chance... Elliott really likes Rachel and has been talking about her constantly...
